Our Mission
Embrace Education is a non-profit, University-student run organisation that offers free educational support to disadvantaged high-school students. Our main focus is on providing students from refugee and recent migrant backgrounds with free tutoring. We also provide textbooks, calculators, stationery and other items to students in need.
We believe that education is essential to breaking the cycle of disadvantage and that every person is entitled to a quality education regardless of their background! Please visit the Volunteer section to find out how you can get involved!

Embrace Program Coordinator Hired!

Through grants shared between Embrace and several schools, we have been able to hire a part-time coordinator to help oversee the program. In the past the organisation has been completely volunteer run, which at times has been a lot for our committee to manage on top of our own Uni studies and other commitments. Thanks to CMY this funding, which lasts for 3 years, will offer continuity and more stability to the program.
O'Week 2010!

It's almost time for this year's Orientation Week activities, all you new (and old!) Uni students out there keep an eye out for Embrace volunteers promoting the cause! We are currently looking for people keen to help man the O'Week Stall at Monash Uni Clayton. The stall hours of operation are 11am-3pm on Tuesday Feburary 23rd, Wednesday February 24th, and Thursday February 25th. Please let us know at admin@embrace-education.org if you can assist on any of the days.
