Our Mission

Embrace Education is a non-profit, University-student run organisation that offers free educational support to disadvantaged high-school students. Our main focus is on providing students from refugee and recent migrant backgrounds with free tutoring. We also provide textbooks, calculators, stationery and other items to students in need.

We believe that education is essential to breaking the cycle of disadvantage and that every person is entitled to a quality education regardless of their background! Please visit the Volunteer section to find out how you can get involved!

Embrace in the Media

Read about us in an article that appeared in The Australian newspaper, or read about us in The Age as part of a Monash Uni Passport Advertisement.

NEWS

New Website Coming Soon...

Hi all,

Just a quick update that we will soon have a brand new website design in the coming weeks! Stay tuned!

From,

The Embrace Team

Vale Emil Kogan

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the tragic passing of Embrace Education founder Emil Kogan. Emil died at his own will last Sunday, September 23, 2012. Emil never shied away from publically discussing his struggle with mental illness; therefore, neither do we believe we should shy from discussing it. The circumstances of his life, including a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder sadly were ultimately too much for him.

Position Open - seeking a Programs Director!

We are seeking to fill one of our key paid roles - the Programs Director. We're looking for someone with passion and drive to continue to develop Embrace Education and the management, organisational and communication skills to support the organisation.
