How can you help? Our volunteer training session is over for 2008, but please stay tuned for new sessions in 2009! STEW continues to encourage a greater awareness of migrant and refugee issues on campus and we will be holding our Inaugural Fundraiser Movie Night on 18 August 2008, which will feature a documentary highlighting the struggles and hurdles refugees face when settling into Australia. It will held in L4, Law Basement and starts at 6pm. Nibbles, drinks and a Nandos dinner will be provided on the night. It will cost $5 (members/Culture Card holders) or $7 (non-members/non-Culture Card holders). All the money raised will go towards building our library and resource centre for our volunteers. Please come and support us for a fantastic cause! You can buy tickets on the night or contact Meryl (Events Officer) on meryl_l[at]hotmail.com. |
