The 3 sessions of tutor training running on Wednesday 10th, 17th and 24th from 5:15pm to 6:45pm. The training is in the form of a program we have developed and piloted last year. Topics covered will include a focus on the experiences of our refugee students, involvement in each of our programs, tips on tutoring and mentoring CALD students, as well as overcoming the more common problems encountered during tutoring. We hope to give you the confidence and preparation to help both you and any students you help get the most out of your tutoring experience.

The training will be held at the Volunteer Resource Centre at Monash University Clayton. This is located in the basement of Campus Centre which is Building 10 in this map of Monash Clayton. Further instructions on getting to the location are available here, however please let us know if you are still unsure of where to go. There will also be signs up to help direct you. As the sessions are after 5pm, parking will be free in most locations such as carpark C2.
