Embrace has payed for students to attend Yr 12 end of year revision lectures with TSSM! Thanks to Embrace and TSSM, 24 students were given the opportunity to attend a total of 56 lectures usually valued at $87 each. We are very excited to be able to provide this service for free, as many students desperately wanted to attend, yet would not otherwise have been able to afford the cost. This would not have been possible without the generous discount offered to us by TSSM, so please recommend them to everyone you know who is undertaking VCE.

This semester Embrace has received 8 computers that were repaired by Engineers Without Borders. We have also received pre-loved computers from other generous members of the community. Embrace is extremely grateful for these amazing donations; having a home computer for study can make such a difference to a student. If you have a used computer that you'd like to donate please contact us at donations[at]embrace-education.org

Embrace donates $1100 worth of textbooks and studyguides to Springvale Secondary College. Springvale is the most disadvantaged school in Victoria on a number of levels such as socio-economic status and non-English speaking background. Indeed over 90% of Springvale's students come from a non-English speaking background. We are very happy to be able to assist Springvale in this way, as well as with the Homework Club, In-School, and Individual tutoring programs.

Foundation for Young Australians project, 8windows, headed by Kiran Atmuri, has teamed with Embrace Education to provide Embrace with the new and fresh website you're on right now! The aim of 8windows is to improve volunteering and youth organisations' ability to promote themselves, and also to allow eager volunteers to be able to discover and easily learn about the worthy organisations, creating an overall synergy where community projects will be better able to grow and achieve their aims. The project received national backing and funding for up to 3 years from the Foundation of Young Australians. Please check out the 8windows project website to learn about their work!
