Referral Information:

Embrace Education is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free tutoring and other services to disadvantaged students in Melbourne, Victoria. The vast majority of our tutors are Uni students. We are able to help students with most high-school subjects including ESL (English as a Second Language). Individual tutoring takes place at a local public library during the library's opening hours, or after-class at the student's school where an arrangement has been made with the school. All tutors are required to pass an interview and both a Working With Children and Police check, before being matched for individual tutoring.

To refer a student to Embrace for individual tutoring, please complete the below referral form. Preference is shown towards students who...
  • Are from a refugee, Indigenous or recent-migrant background
  • Are studying Yr 9, 10, 11 or 12 with a preference shown towards VCE students
  • Are studying at a relatively poorly performing, or under-privileged school
  • Are having difficulty completing their studies, and/or are under-achieving. i.e. we are not focussed towards providing A+ students with further assistance
  • Would be unable to pay for tutoring should we not be there to provide it freely
