Upon receiving your Application Form, we will assign you to a Tutor Manager, who will conduct your interview and if you pass all necessary requirements will be in charge of ensuring your tutoring experience runs smoothly.

A day out in the Wild with tutors and students
Before you can begin work with us, you must meet several requirements including...
1/ Passing a short informal interview/introduction to the program
Your Tutor Manager will contact you to arrange a time for your interview after you have emailed us your application form
Interviews last for 30-40 minutes and are usually conducted at Wholefoods restaurant on the top floor of the Monash University Campus Centre (Clayton)
2/ Signing a written agreement or Terms and Conditions of Engagement
During your interview you will need to sign that you are willing to abide by our Terms and Conditions of Engagement
3/ Applying for a Police check
Embrace covers the cost of all volunteer Police checks
You will need to visit the Volunteer Checks page to download the Police Check Application Guide. You are required to complete the relevant steps listed in this document prior to your interview
4/ Applying for a Working With Children (WWC) check
The WWC check is free for volunteers
You will also need to visit the Volunteer Checks page to download instructions on applying for your WWC check
You are encouraged to apply for your WWC check as soon as possible. The sooner you apply, the sooner it will come back and the sooner you can start tutoring!
